Solved Trouble Burning CD-R Discs On Laptop in Win8.1

Recently unable to burn a CD-R in Win8.1.Error msg “the write speed for the recordable disc is either too fast or too slow for your CD or DVD burner” & “Windows was unable to complete the format”. Had previously burnt such disc & still can read burnt disc.

      If by the registry tweak you mean UpperFilters and LowerFilters then fine as long as you are happy in there. It’s not beyond possibility that this problem was caused by the registry cleaner, although CCleaner is one that least often gets it wrong.
