My nephew arrived with his laptop that will not start up, it gets a blue screen with an error message saying that there is a missing file in the startup. All I want to do is set it back to factory conditions. It is a Monza T100 and I tried emailing Advent with no help forthcoming. I know it is generally a matter of pressing a number of keys together but so far it has evaded me. Any help would be well received

Bear in mind that it is not beyond possibility that you have a hardware fault.
I guess you ought to try discharging the motherboard in case it has become stuck:
Turn off and remove power cord, then take out main battery. Before re-assembling it hold the Power Off/On button down for about 30 seconds.
