Solved No Sound On a Asus Transformer Tablet

My transformer tablet is not playing any sound and it isn’t even able to set volume. There is a red x over my sound button in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. Troubleshooting doesn’t work nr does checking the sound card. thanks.
