Trying to do a system recovery with backup discs but it keeps spitting out that error code at 70%. I have tried everything I know to do and it says it cannot complete the installation. I replaced the hard drive and am trying to get my recovery discs to reload the original operating system back up and running…… please let me know if you have any suggestions

The short answer is most likely a corrupt master boot record. There we’re some fixes listed at th HP site.
