Every email that appears in my Windows mail (Windows 8.1) is duplicated. An online search for information is either outdated or applies to a different OS. I tried one suggestion which was to right-click All Mail and hide the folder (apparently unread and all mail are appearing at the same time?) but there isn’t an option to hide the folder. My email account is gmail.
It is annoying me intensely now so would love to solve it!

I would in your email client, create another account, same as your other one, except the new one will be POP.
Import what you want out of your IMAP account ( including Address’s ) & when you are all happy, delete the IMAP account.
