Solved Windows Unable To Complete Format CD-R

hi guys i have a problem…i tried burning some files into the cd but it said that windows is unable to complete format…the disc said that its CDR (on the surface) but when i put it into the computer it said cdrw…what should i do… this is urgent for my thesis thanks
