What is changing my DNS settings automatically?

For some reason my DNS settings keep getting changed back to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 automatically. I looked these up and they are apparently Google DNS. I never approved this change so what has done it? Does Chrome do this automatically? I want to use Open DNS so this is really annoying!
