How do I reboot from ahci(os system not found).system crash ..screen says os system not found.boot from ahci and what do I need

      Since F8 does not offer other boot options aside from the CD boot, it sounds like the hard drive is gone.
      Try a few tests to see about the hardware:
      Try booting to a CD with Memtest86 on it. This does not require an operating system and does not require the hard drive. It runs under DOS and runs off the CD and a small portion of your RAM. Let it run through all tests. This will confirm your memory is working properly and the hardware is running properly.
      Then boot to a CD with Seatools from Seagate and run the short test. This also runs off of the CD and your RAM and tests your hard drive to see if it is in working condition. If Seatools does not find the hard drive, check in your BIOS set up to see if it appears there and if it is, make sure that it is set to be bootable. If the BIOS and Seatools do not ‘see’ the hard drive, it is probably beyond saving.

      You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
