The Camera Is Used By Another Program Error Message Persists

I have Asus laptop and this message (the camera is used by another program) suddenly started to pop up last Sunday when I open LifeFrame. Until then I didn’t have any problems. I couldn’t find the webcam in device manager (why is that?!), tried uninstalling and installing LifeFrame again.. still always “the camera is used by another program”. But it’s not!! So annoying. Anyone know what I can do?

      Webcam’s are under Imaging Devices. Is this camera built in to the laptop? When I Google Life Cam it brings up Microsoft Webcams I forgot Microsoft had their brand of webcams. Asus webcams are Life Frame.
