My computer turns on and goes directly to a window that says Startup Repair (Startup Repair is checking your system for problems). I have let my computer run this check for over 24hrs and nothing is changing, it’s still stuck on the same window.

press the power button for about 10 secs to switch off the machine, then reboot, tapping f8 choose last known good config, if that fails do the same again and choose system restore.
