Hello.
I have a problem with my Laptop.
It has Windows 7 and im trying to restore to the factory settings.
The problem is that the recovery CD that came with the computer is corrupt.
When i try to use the F9 key (hotkey from Asus) it only give the options of System Restore and System Restore from windows image. I try both of them but none of them give the option to restore to factory settings.
I have the Recovery partition on the computer and everything but it just doesn’t work.
Can anyone help me please?
My Laptop is: Asus N90Sc
1: Reset your computer from your recovery partition
2) Right-click Computer, then select Manage.
3) Click Storage, then Disk Management.
3) On your keyboard, press the Windows logo key and type recovery. …
4) Click Advanced recovery methods.
5) Select Reinstall Windows.
6) Click Yes.
7) Click Back up now.
If you reset windows 7 you can’t get the last updates for windows 7. Running windows 7 is now dangerous because there is no longer security patches available.
A fresh install of windows is a bad idea as well because you can’t get ANY updates at all unless you have the updates saved somewhere offline.
Use Linux or windows 10 or another operating system.
I can’t speak for Asus but my HP has a place to create the System Recovery Disc.
Your allowed to make one copy, at least 3 DVD will be needed, maybe more.
The Recovery CD that you have – put in the Tray and Restart your computer.
If it doesn’t work call Asus. You will have to prove ownership to get new
Install CD’s
If the warranty has expired, I can’t say if they will help, you can only try.
