How Do I Find Sound Card? Or Is Multimedia Wave-In Componen

Cannot find multimedia device, Check to see if your computer has a sound card, or if the multimedia wave-in component is missing from the dound card

    1. That seems to be a problem with Dragon speech software. Is that what you’re using? Some of the google hits for “multimedia wave in” make it seem like a problem with Dragon and not an actual hardware problem. With some versions it seems to be more of a problem with 64 bit OS’s. One popular solution was to just leave the microphone always plugged in:

      But of course you need to check in device manager and see if there are any hardware problems associated with your audio–like missing drivers.
