How can I change the colour of a file name in Windows 7?
I would like to have the file name of outstanding – unpaid – accounts in red. I invoice numerous small accounts and this would be very helpful in tracking payments. I would also like to be able to change the file name back to black once paid.

  1. i presume that you mean filenames in Windows Explorer. As far as I know, the only way to achieve this is to compress the file (blue name) or encrypt it (green). Avoid encryption unless you really need it as it’s all too easy to make your file inaccessible.
