Tell us, if you don’t know what to choose.
Or,
Press “Suspend” twice (it’s the button with the quarter moon, on my keyboard that’s the function button Fn + F2).
“Monitor turns on but goes right to sleep an says no signal”
“No signal” means the monitor isn’t receiving a video signal from the tower. Therefore the problem is with the tower, not the monitor. Could be the video card is bad, or the power supply, or a number of other possibilities. You haven’t provided any info about the tower. “Emachine e202hl”, or more correctly, eMachines E202HL, is the monitor.
Turn off your computer.
Unplug the cable running from your monitor to your PC and plug it back in, making sure the connection is firm. …
Reattach the cable running from your monitor to your PC. …
Replace your monitor with another monitor if possible. …
Open your PC case and locate your video card. Remove the card and then replace it firmly in its slot or, if possible, insert the video card into another slot on your motherboard. A video card that is not making a firm connection will not display images to the monitor. Close your PC case and test the monitor again.
Replace your video card completely. Your video card may suffer from internal damage that is not allowing it to output a signal.
Power off the computer, then restart it. As soon as you see the eMachines logo appear on the monitor screen, press the “left-Alt” and “F10” keys simultaneously. Wait a few seconds for the Windows boot screen to appear, then press the “Enter” key.
