Hello ,
If some of you could help meMad, i’ve been getting an error when I start up my computer that says:
CPU Fan Error!
Press F1 to Resume
My motherboard is an American Megatrends running Windows 7 Just recently, every time I bootup it says “CPU Fan Error! Press F1 to continue” and it sounds like the fan is louder than usual. It boots and the computer seems to run fine after pressing F1. I get the error each time I start the computer, however. Anyone know how I could fix this problem?
Actually, I recently took out the fan and heat sink cleaned them and put them back in. The fan seems to be spinning but I don’t know what else I changed than making it cleaner.
There’s a fan header connector near it? I just remembered where I unplugged it and just plugged in the area the way it would fit. If it’s not the fan header I’ve connected it to, what else could it be for? I do see the fan spinning…
I’ve had a look at my BIOS > Power settings and this is what it shows:
CPU Tempreture 32C/90.5F
MB Tempreture 26C/80.5F
CPU Fan Speed Options are: Ignored / N/A
CPU Q-Fan Control Options are: Disabled / Enabled
CPU Fan Profile Options are (currently set to ENABLED
CPU Fan Profile Options are (currently set to Optimal): Optimal / Silent / Performance Mode
Chassis Fan Speed Options are: Speed (3341 rpm) / Ignored
Power Fan Speed Options are: Speed (2481 rpm) / Ignored
Your help mostly appreciated .
Thanks
