I am stuck in an infinite CHKDSK loop because of a corrupt winlogon.exe file and I’m not sure how to get out. When I start the computer, it will start loading Windows and then will go to the CHKDSK screen instead. It starts to check, but then about 10% into the process when it says it finished the first step (of 3), it will reboot and start the process all over again from 0. I let it sit for an hour and it never got any further than that. If I hit a key during the CHKDSK process, it stops and sends me to log in, but as soon as I do log in I get a message that says, “The file or directory C:\Users\Administrator.88M61N1\AppData\Local is corrupt and unreadable, please run the check disk utility.” But then it will BSOD and restart, which sends me right back into the neverending CHKDSK loop! I am running Windows 7 Professional and all I’ve been able to find are the Dell Reinstallation DVDs that came with the computers, no actual Windows 7 disk. Thanks in advance for your advice!
