Solved Can’t Install Any Antivirus Software – Help

I had webroot installed but it expired and they want $50 to renew it so I’ve downloaded AVAST, Microsoft Security Essentials and AVG. When file extraction starts, I get a warning that the file is corrupted, or not a win 32 application or download failed. I run System Mechanic regularly to clean out junk. How can I get an antivirus on this computer, windows 7 64 bit?

      Thanks for your reply. I had no idea Sys Mechanic screwed up systems. I had cc cleaner but uninstalled it when I got Sys Mechanic. I downloaded WinThruster, ran it, and then was able to install Panda antivirus. It took hours to dowload the files but it finally did and now I’m up and running.
