What Is C:\WINDOWS\Temp\Hsperfdata_SYSTEM …

I have a file named 400 in the temp directory. AVG PC Tuneup wants to remove it but is locked. Were do files in this temp directory come from? Can I unlock and remove the file and perhaps the directory? I am concerned that this is some type of virus or spyware?

    1. Try updating to the latest version of Sun Java here:

      Uninstall all older versions from Add/Remove programs.

      Are you sure the dllhost.exe isn’t part of MS Shadow Copy Prpvider?
