Strings.Dat File Is Missing Or Corrupted

The message…. ‘strings. dat. file missing or corrupted’ …..has appeared on my Computer,,associated with several different new problems e.g. Microsoft Windows operating very very slowly if at all…when I open a file using Microsoft Windows either a message says 0 characters found..or it opens then abruptly disappears leaving blank Windows! A couple of weeks ago I downloaded Babylon…a bad error!!!..It seems to be intent on screwing up computer..I have already uninstalled all of it that I can find…but still get the message above.. Was Babylon the fault???……Help Please.

    1. Uninstall Babylon translation software

      Exit the program of Babylon by double-clicking on the Babylon icon in your toolbar and clicking on “exit”. When asked to confirm, click ‘yes ‘.

      In Windows, go to the Add/Remove Programs option in your control panel (Vista) or mycomputer (XP) windows. Click on “Add/Remove Programs” to open a new window.

      Select the list of “Babylon” and “Remove” to uninstall the program.

      Delete the “Babylon” folder in the “Program Files” folder

      Delete the Babylon toolbar

      Open your Internet browser.

      Click on “Tools” then “Add-ons” in Firefox. In Internet Explorer, click “Tools” and “Manage Add-ons.”

      Find the add-on “Babylon Toolbar” in the list of available modules.

      Delete the Babylon Toolbar inside Firefox Add-on. In Internet Explorer, select the Babylon toolbar and click “disable”.

      If you have partially uninstalled your program, you see a message from Revo, that it can’t find the uninstaller, hit Cancel & let Revo continue on to search for the remnants.
