Most exe files on my desktop are opening up in Windows media player. Firefox opens in wm player too. I tried to download the winhelp program I saw in other posts but it too opens in windows media player. Please help how do I get this off my computer Norton is not doing too well in picking this up via its scan.

however I suspect malware. try malwarebytes after the fix.
