When my computer has been idle for a while, or even when I start it after being turned off, most of the time, the password field is automatically filled in as if I were holding down the space bar. Sometimes this occurs in a search box, once i’m logged onto the computer. It isn’t typing characters, just spaces. I ran numerous virus checkers, and found nothing. then I reset my computer to the factory settings – but that didn’t solve the problem!
I had this problem fixed once by a company I can’t contact any more. But I believe I undid the fix when my iPod wouldn’t work – when I followed the troubleshooting instructions for the iPod, I enabled something that had previously been disabled. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to get back to that “place.” Since my iPod now works, I can’t get troubleshooting information from it.
