Now, I don’t know if that helped but I’ve burned a disc then restarted and then switched off my computer when windows was starting so that I can get into the system repair screen, then clicked on start up repair and once it was done, it restarted and BOOM! My sound was working again!!
I should have done that long time ago, man.
I’m very sorry for wasting your time, Derek
Thank you for all you have done for me. I’ve been to two other forums and no one helped me as much as you did.
What was that driver listed as being on HP's site IE. Bus Controller Driver, etc? Did you also install the chipset drivers for that motherboard? When you run the driver package from HP, it will unpack them in a folder on your hard drive. You can go into the Device Manager and select to update the driver, then point it to the driver folder that was created. However, the HP driver install is pretty good at figuring things out. I doubt a manual install will do anything that the automatic install didn’t.
Hi there is not much you can do. However there may be a TMP file in the same folder, you can try renaming it to AI and see if this opens. Helped me on a couple of occasions but also has not worked in the past. For more: https://forums.adobe.com/message/64... good luck

Yes I would agree with others, the CD-RW is ready for the bin, worn out. However, you shouldn't be formatting any CD anyway. Yes I would agree with others, the CD-RW is ready for the bin, worn out. However, you shouldn’t be formatting any CD anyway. Formatting a CD is done so that you can write directly to it using “drag-and-drop” just as if it was a hard drive, and you can add more files to it at a later date using the same method. It’s called “Packet Writing”.
However, although it is a very convenient way to write to a CD, it is also the most unreliable form of CD-writing in existence, and hardly anyone uses that method today because of it’s unreliability. Data has a habit of disappearing from the CD when you use that method, so I advise you not to do it that way.
Moreover, CD-RW discs are themselves unreliable too, I never use them. People used to buy re-usable CD-RW media when optical discs generally were very expensive, but they are much cheaper now, so buy a good brand of CD-R discs and use proper burning software like Nero.
I have had over 15 years experience in burning optical media so you can trust my advice.

EDIT: The reason this is intermittent foxes me a bit. Makes me think it might be the bit about the type of link which is mentioned in the above. Have you tried sending yourself an email with an inserted picture?
