If you want to do a quick check for malware and viruses run these three small freebies in the order given – they often unearth what other programs miss:
AdwCleaner: https://toolslib.net/downloads/view… (blue “Download Now” button on right). Download and “Save” the file somewhere. Go to the saved file then double click it to run the program. Use the “Scan” button, followed by the “Clean” button.
Junkware Removal Tool (JRT) https://www.malwarebytes.org/junkwa… (blue Download button). Download and “Save” the file somewhere. Go to the saved file then double click it to run JRT. It might appear to have stopped at times or flash the screen but sit tight until it has finished.
MalwareBytes: https://www.malwarebytes.org/ (use the “download” button rather than the “buy” button). Install and Run the program but before running the Scan go to “Settings > Detection and Protection” and put a checkmark in “Scan for rootkits”. Quarantine anything it finds.
Please copy/paste the logs on here so that we can see the situation.
Always pop back and let us know the outcome – thanks

AMD systems have no FSB. The CPU & memory controller communicate at full processor speed, so the higher you clock the CPU, the faster the CPU-memory communication. Increasing the RAM speed will have very little effect on performance. In the Tom’s article I linked to in your other thread, it mentions that an overclocked CPU with DDR3-800 will perform better than a non-overclocked CPU with DDR3-1333. The key is to run the CPU as fast as possible, while keeping the HT & memory buses at their defaults speeds. Even so, the X4 965 BE is already near the upper limit of what the X4 is capable of. You’ll be lucky if you can hit 3.8GHz & remain stable. Hopefully you have a decent PSU because your CPU is rated at 140W. Overclocking will increase the wattage.

As far as the youtube videos, if you’re viewing them with IE there is a zoom feature. With an IE page open (on my old IE8) it’s just above the windows taskbar on the bottom of the screen. I imagine other browsers have similar abilities.
However, the browser zoom would affect all pages, not just youtube, so that might not be the problem. And as I mentioned above, it may be a video setting too.
If you can’t get it figured out and others don’t post in with a solution you might check to see if you have a restore point from just before the problem started. If so you can restore to that date and likely fix the problem as I’m sure it’s a setting somewhere.

I assume it was set as ‘single’ but make sure since it’s the only drive on the cable.
Also, what kind of IDE cable are you using for the quantum? Most newer computers need the 80 wire and some of those assume the drive is jumpered as CS (cable select) where the drives position on the cable determines whether it’s master or slave. That’s less likely to be the case if you’re using a 40-wire cable and it looks like those quantums can’t be configured for CS. Both the 40 and 80-wire cables have a 40 pin connection. The additional wires on the 80-wire have a coaxial shielding affect thus giving a better signal. There’s some pictures and info here:
If jumpers and cables are OK I guess the next step would be to go into bios setup and see if you can set a user defined drive type. If so use the information I posted in # 27 above. If your computer it too new to use drive types then I don’t think there’s going to be any way to use it to view the quantum. You’d need to try to find something older–a 486 or maybe a pentium I.
