The obvious (original problem) would be hard or intermittent shorts or a seriously underrated supply (which you should have determined before your next P/S purchase). You could have damaged something else somewhere in the system (leading to the 2nd and 3rd ones failing), or the short still existed.

One poster on a yahoo site discovered (in his Hitachi) that it was a fuse issue. Apparently there seems to be more than one onboard…? Don’t quite follow his discovery as no-longer fixing this kind of kit…; and so no-longer au-faitwith current technologies (at least the electronics inside the box etc…).
If you’re not into serious fault finding, and/or not into proper soldering techniques (almost a lost skill/art for electronics these days…) you may have to get a “qualified” techie to have look-see. By “qualified” I mean someone who does know his way around modern tv etc., and if possible is familiar with the Hitachi range (and is able to solder properly too).
Longshot… Leave the set off for 24hrs – mains power fully removed. Can’t hurt to try it as occasionally power up faults can resolve themselves once allowed to cool down fully; and onboard capacitors have discharged themselves fully too. But it s “very looong”shot…

See if it runs any better, if so install temperature software to monitor it.
If it’s still going off and over heating rapidly, I assume it’s an old PC and the processor has worn itself down.
If you need to buy a new processor, make sure you have a good heatsink + cooling fan before installing it. That will prevent it from overheating in the future.
The model you posted does NOT appear to have a sound out port. Did you post the correct model? If so, the specs don't seem to address that port. That said, you probably need to use powered speakers in order to drive them from that port.
