Introduction
The Lenovo OneKey Rescue system is an easy-to-use application that can be used to back up the
data on your system partition
(C drive) for easy restore when required. You can run Lenovo
OneKey Recovery under the Windows operating system, and the OneKey Rescue system
without starting the Windows operating system.
Attention:
In order to utilize the features of the OneKey Re
scue system, your hard disk already includes a
hidden partition by default to store the system image file and OneKey Rescue system program
files. This default partition is hidden for security reasons and is the reason the available disk
space is less than it claims. The exact available
hard disk space depends on the file size of the
mirror image file (based on the size of
operating system and preinstalled software).
Using Lenovo OneKey Recovery (within Windows operating system)
In Windows operating system, double click the On
eKey Recovery system Icon on the desktop to
launch Lenovo OneKey Recovery.
Within the program, you can back up the system
partition on the hard di
sk drive, other storage
devices, or by creating recovery discs.

Using Lenovo OneKey Rescue system
(without Windows operating system)
In the event that the operating system cannot
be loaded, follow the steps below to access
OneKey Rescue system.
• Shut down your computer.
• Press the key to launch OneKey Rescue system.
Within the program, you can choose to restore
your system partition to the original factory
status, or to a previously generated backup.
Notes:
•
The backup process and creation of recovery discs
may take some time, connect the AC adapter and
battery pack to your computer.
•
After the recovery discs are burned, please number th
em so that you can use them in the correct order.
•
Computers without an integrated optical drive suppo
rt the creation of recovery discs; however an
appropriate external optical drive is needed
to physically create the recovery discs.
Note:
The recovery process is irreversible
. Make sure to back up any critical data before using the recovery
feature

To err is human but to really screw things up, you need a computer!

You might get it “out of the loop” like this:
Disconnect computer from domestic power and remove battery if it is a laptop. Hold power off/on button down for about 20 secs. If you are lucky when you put it back together you might be back to where you started – worth a quick try. That would still leave the factory restore to sort out of-course.

FF is related to 2b and appears to be graphics card related, this was taken from a web page:

When the system powers on and the Debug LED shows the usual POST code sequence but hangs on 2b or you get a beep code as soon as the sequence reaches 2b, then the Mainboard cant detect your Videocard properly. Note that the POST code sequence might not halt at 2b but continue, so the final POST Code it displays could be FF, 00 or 7F which means the Maiboard booted, entered BIOS, or OC recovery kicked in and is waiting for Input to enter BIOS.

Since the Videocard couldnt be detected properly you will only see a black Monitor and either 2b, FF, 00 or 7F. Check if there is something wrong with the Videocard, the PCIE slot or BUS, the Monitor or monitor cable. Turn the Monitor on and off, switch the Monitor cable from one D-SUB or DVI plug to the other in case your Videocard has two. If this doesnt help then reboot and load the optimized defaults. If that doesnt help either try another Videocard if possible, or try the Videocard in another system to make sure its working properly.
