Will a Magnet Harm a Wireless Router

We need to place a magnetic hard water softener to our cold water inlet which is in the same small cupboard as our wireless router. Will the magnet harm the router or interfere with the network coverage?

      Magnetic fields can cause issues for both wireless and wired connections.

      Consider placing the router at least 3 ft away from any magnetic field

      You can measure the force of the magnetic field with a gauss meter.
