When I bring up the ipconfig screen in command, my ip address is ? in two places.
Also, there are other question marks just by themselves.
The comcast guys say they’ve never heard of that before.
This is what I get on the screen:

Other things on the screen look strange to me also but I figured someone with more knowledge could comment on that. Thank you in advance. Ryan
I wouldn’t worry about the tunnel adapter. That is often put there by some device that requires network connectivity, often a Bluetooth device, that is not presently connected.
I’m thinking you’re right about the ipv6.
I actually have a router, I just unplugged it to eliminate it from the equation temporarily.
I do appreciate the consideration though.
If I uncheck tcp/ip version 6 the top ip address and ? disappear but the one under
“tunnel adapter” still remains.
Unusual to have two places for an IP address. I can only guess that the second IP address is reserved for an IPv6 address and you don’t have IPv6 installed. If everything is working properly I wouldn’t worry about it.
From the description I can see that you have your Modem plugged directly into you computer. I would give some consideration to getting a router. This will have a built in firewall and along with NAT will give you some protection from hackers. As it is your computer will be visible to all on sundry on the Internet.
