tried to reset several times. wps won’t sync. computer illiterate but not total idiot asking. just keeps mocking me with flashing amber and blue light.can’t even get to the easy four step process that is advertised.

You have to do the setup before using WPS. Did you use one of your wireless devices to go to http://belkin.range & then follow the instructions?
