Why Does My Macbook’s Wifi Slow Down When Charging?

I bought a MacBook pro 13 inch retina (early 2015) around 4 months ago and its wifi started to slow down tremendously when it’s charging. The wifi also slows down on my iPhone and iPad. This never happened before until yesterday.

When I’m playing LoL, the ping stays at a normal 35ms-50ms when its not charging. But when it is charging, it goes up to over 2k ms.

I tried restarting my MacBook several times but it doesn’t solve the problem. Everything is also up-to-date.

      Check your settings on Mac-book. do you have ICLOUD configured? DO have somewhere configured to synchronize your devices with ICLOUD meaning Pictures, documents etc are uploaded and downloaded to your apple devices!

      If you have set to do this when charging that could be the reason for slowing down your internet speed.

      Upgrades on MAC devices can be large files like 2-3 GB. This usually starts when devices are in charging mode.
