How Do I Know My Modem IMEI # If Box Is Misin

i have lost the container of my usb modem and i need to know the IMEI number. can some1 help me

    1. Modems don’t have an IMEI number. That only applies to Mobile Phones. You find the IMEI number by typing *#06# on the key pad. As Modems don’t have a keypad that could be difficult.
      The nearest thing you will get to it is MAC number. Id that what you are after?

      You can fine the MAC number for a Modem connected to the computer by going to a command prompt and typeing ipconfig /all.

    3. You mean a Modem that locked to a particular ISP?
      That means you need to change the firmware in it. You can do this with some Modems, it depends if someone has taken the trouble to write one.

      All you can do is search the Internet for your Modem and see if there is a third party firmware update available or perhaps the original firmware from the Modem manufacture.,
