Ipconfig (STANDARD GATEWAY) shows external IP even though I am connected to a router.
Router wifi does not work, only cable.
Router is not found on 192.168.1.1. A message (pasted below in portuguese and translated after) show in the screen instead of the router page.
Already tried the reset button, other browsers (IE and firefox, don’t find the 192.168.1.1 page at all), already tried factory reset button.
Looks like the router don’t exist in the network

1) Go to Asus’ support page for your router, and download firmware version 3.0.0.4.380.4180 (should be the top option), as well as the ASUS Firmware Restoration version 2.0.0.0 software.
2) Disconnect the router from the modem. Verify the WAN light (ring going around a circle) has gone out, but the LAN light (square looking) has not.
3) Set your PC’s network address to 192.168.1.5, subnet 255.255.255.0, and gateway 192.168.1.1. Reference this page if you don’t know how to do so: http://www.thewindowsclub.com/chang…
4) Try to access your router from your browser now. If you can, try resetting to factory defaults from there, and set your PC to use DHCP again.
5) If you can’t, install and run the firmware restoration tool you downloaded in step 1.
6) Remove power to the router, hold the reset button, and restore power. The power light should blink slowly. Once it starts blinking, release the reset button.
7) Back in the restore tool, hit the browse button and point it to the firmware you downloaded in step 1. Hit upload and let it run to completion.
8) If successful, the router should reboot itself, and the power light should stop blinking.
9) Go back into your PC’s network settings, and have your PC obtain an IP address automatically.
10) If everything went well, your PC should have an IP in the 192.168.1.x block, and you should have Internet access again
EDIT: Make sure you understand the steps here, unless you end up bricking the router further.
