Does Smart TV Affect Wireless Download Speed On My Laptop?

Connected Dell laptop direct to router, 46Mbs, Dell laptop wireless connection shows only 20Mbs. I turned the Smart TV off and now laptop wireless speed shows 41Mbs!

      Apparently your TV is maintaining some type of link through the internet even if you are not using that feature. This is like the programs you install on your computer that the programmers want to always be immediately ready to use so they launch with Windows but this does effect your overall computer performance. On the TV it is apparently more than a small trickle so you need to see if there is an option on the TV to shut this down until you access the feature. Look at the settings and the manual (a more complete manual may be on the mfg’s web site).

      You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
