Can’t Access TP-LINK Router To Configure It

I checked cables, the lids are alright but when i try to access the router thru 192.168.1.1 that is the TL-WR740N standard, it simply dont access…
when i try thru the CD that came with it, it says that is a problem with DHCP..
i’m using windows 7 ultimate 64bits
what do i do?!?!?

      You need to configure your computer with IP 192.168.1.x (ie. 192.168.1.100), netmask 255.255.255.0 and gateway 192.168.1.1. If not too sure how to do it, check out this configure IP in Windows 7 article. Hope this helps.
