Solved Open Unix Executable File On Mac?

How can I open a 45 MB image stored as a ‘Unix Executable File’ on CD on my Intel MacPro2,1 running Mac OS X version 10.6.8
the hi res image was scanned and stored on CD in 2002 for use in print publishing.
