How To Unlock The Position Of Desktop Icons O

the position of all the desktop folders and files on my MAC laptop are frozen in place. If I try to move them they just go back to their old location. I can combine folders and I can trash items but I cannot change the position on the desktop of all the folders.

      Click the Finder icon in the Dock to make it active, if not already active. The bold application name menu should indicate “Finder” if it is. In the Menubar running at the top of the screen, find the View menu. Under View Options, turn off “Snap to grid” and “Auto arrange”.
