How do I open a .wps file on my iMac? My friend is always sending me her minutes from a meeting for me to correct – if necessary….. this time she used MSworks …..

      .wps = Created with Microsoft Works.

      upload them to here and choose a document format that your Mac can deal with. It’s a free service: http://www.zamzar.com/

      Alternatively, install the free OpenOffice for Mac, I think it can open Microsoft Works documents: http://www.openoffice.org/porting/mac/

      Alternative 2: Ask your friend to save the documents as a “plain text” file or an RTF (Rich Text Format) file – – your Mac can open one or both of those types.
