I have some game film stored on a usb stick and I want to play them on my mac book pro. I opened the usb and tried to play the movies directly from there with quick time player and it would not open. Then I saved the movies onto my desktop and then opened them with quick time player, I can hear some of the audio (which is choppy) but the screen is black… can someone please help me.

When you cannot open your file with QuickTime player, it either means your application is either incompatible or outdated. The QuickTime player might be too old, which is why it cannot read the file. So, try updating the application and see if that fixes the issue.
