Cpu Over Voltage Error, Press F1 to resume. This message pops up everytime i open my pc. What causes this problem and how can i fix it?
System Specs: Cpu: Amd Fx-6300
Motherboard: Asus M5A78L-M LX3, bios version 1201(latest)
Ram: Kingston HyperX Fure 8gb
Graphiks Card: Asus R7 250X Series 1gb
PSU: ANTEC VP350P 350Watt
I am running on Windows 7 64 bit.
I have been monitoring my system with SpeedFan and the voltages i get are: Vcore1: 2.46v
Vcore2: 2.98v
+3.3V: 2.72v
+5V: 4.41v
+12V: 10,88v
When i check the core voltage with CPU-Z, values change from 0.88V up to 1.6V.
The temperature of the cpu is fine. It doesnt exceed 31oC.
I tried opening the bios and changing the cpu voltage from auto to default as it suggests in some other threads but i cant interract with that option. Also, i am a noob concerning hardware so i want to avoid opening the pc and tinkering with the hardware.
Appreciate any help.
+3.3v : 2.72v = 17.6% undervolted
+5v : 4.41v = 11.8% undervolted
+12v : 10.88v = 9.3% undervolted

And the reported CPU voltages are WAY over what they should be, at least in SpeedFan. The CPUZ readings seem to be in the ballpark. I don’t know if it’s just a software glitch or what? The CPU voltage is supposed to fluctuate based on load but it should be between 0.90v & 1.425v. Here’s the breakdown:
Boost States:
#1: 4100 MHz, 1.425V
#2: 3800 MHz, 1.4125V
Low Power States:
#1: 3000 MHz, 1.225V
#2: 2500 MHz, 1.125V
#3: 2000 MHz, 1.025V
#4: 1400 MHz, 0.9V
