Hey so I found this cable at goodwill Fci 940-0127B Usb Male to Male Ethernet. Tell you what I’m cheaply trying to do is I have a home stereo with Ethernet port on the back. Want to hook it to desktop to either play internet music on stereo directly (use PC as router because it’s wireless), or use the stereo for watching movies. Now I already have a 3.5mm headphone jack to RCA Connector From PC to stereo but not able to use complete control/functions of Realtek audio panel. Anyway I think I need a crossover cable (right?) but will the above first mentioned cable act like a crossover cable? Looked on the net but can’t find any info on the usb cable. Buying a C/O cable is too much. Am I going in the right direction or walking backwards? Thanks and still learnin.

Not much at all according to the link posted by OtheHill. Mixing USB and Ethernet is not really a good way of doing anything,
