Thin Horizontal Green Line Across Laptop Screen

Hello there,
Hoping I can find an easy fix for this one.
There is a thin horizontal green line across my screen, just above the bottom task bar.
I’ve tried to print screen but doesn’t show on the ‘print screen’
The line doesn’t appear when I am using the internet browser, however can be seen while using Word or PDF Reader also on the desktop.
I am using Windows 10, 64bit operating system, ASUS Laptop.

      When you move your mouse cursor around the area where the line is, does the green line appear above or below the cursor?

      if the line appears ABOVE the cursor then a green line usually indicates

      a failure of the screen, which can easily be replaced
      a faulire of the gpu – possibly overheating – can also be fixed with some compressed air or removal of the CPU heatsink assembly and reapplying the thermal compount.

      But we need to know if the line appears above or below the cursor…
