laptop manufacturers do not supply recovery discs with the laptop. You are supposed to make your own set of discs whilst the laptop is in working order, using the backup discs creation utility in Windows, which on Acer laptops is called “eRecovery”. Obviously it’s too late to do that now.
Some laptop manufacturers (eg Toshiba & HP) will send you a set of recovery discs for a small charge, but unfortunately Acer does not provide that service any more.
If you still have the Windows 7 Product Key printed underneath your laptop, you can download a disc image of your Windows version from Microsoft here:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft…
With that image file you can then create a Windows 7 installation DVD and use it to install a fresh copy of Windows 7 on your laptop.
You can use ImgBurn to create the DVD from the disc image file:
http://filehippo.com/download_imgburn
Boot your laptop from the DVD you’ve made and Windows Setup will start.
When you’ve got Windows installed and running, you then need to visit Acer’s website to download and install all the Windows 7 drivers for your particular model.
If you are unable to connect the laptop to the internet to download drivers (eg because you need the network drivers from Acer), you can download them using another computer. Copy them to a pen drive, then plug the pen drive in to your laptop and install the drivers from the pen drive.
