Samsung S27C350 Sound Output Port Not Working

  • 0

So as the title suggests theres a little sound output port for headphones on the back of the monitor but when I plug in my speakers or headphones it just makes a buzzing sound. The audio should be provided by my PC via HDMI and when I directly connect the speakers to my PC it works fine. That being said I’ve tried switching the sound output to both strictly HDMI as well analog or whatever the other option is. I’ve also tried plugging in my game console via HDMI and again I get video but when I plug my speakers into the little headphone jack thing theres just the same buzzing noise.

The manual as well as the menu make no mention whatsoever about the sound port so I’m just wondering if I got a dud or if theres some super secret way to turn it on.

Thanks!!!

  1. Unplug all cables connected to the monitor at both ends of each cable. Then, plug all the cables back in again.

When supported by both the monitor and the external device, the best type of cable to use is HDMI or Displayport, followed by DVI or VGA. Only one of these needs to be used per monitor, as well as its power cable.

  2. The model you posted does NOT appear to have a sound out port. Did you post the correct model? If so, the specs don’t seem to address that port. That said, you probably need to use powered speakers in order to drive them from that port.
