Difficult. Most companies that sell that stuff want you to buy 1000 or more.If you can’t find it on the internet then it ain’t for sale.
By the way. Do you have a way to replace such a connector? Usually requires special tools such as a solder tank or hot air tools.
Hey. I just did the same thing on my dell inspiron 1545. I broke off the zif connector that connects the powerboard to the power button. Doh!
But I discovered that all you really need to do is get contact between the ribbon cable and the contacts below it, which is all that the locking bar is for.
SO, your solution is:
Scotch tape. =D
Seriously, it worked! All you have to do is get enough pressure on the ribbon to keep it connected. I saw a solution somewhere online, I can’t find it now but google for it – scotch tape, applied in several layers (I mean, like 12) … until the tape builds up enough thickness. Then, if you did it right, if you slip it into the original socket it should make connection. Tape it down and you’re done.
Motherboard would need to be replaced. Some time it could be possible to put the ribbon cable in the socket and wedge a thin piece of cardboard in between ribbon cable and socket to hold it in. But that’s still might not work.
