Solved PC Fan Speed Is In Overdrive At Boot

  • 1

Just as i stated my Computer is not running quietly its running very loud and i tried to check the Bios and oddly enough the computer does not recognize the Fan at all its just spinning like crazy.

I had to Jumpy my Motherboard in order for me to reaccess my bios from the last incident.

What should i do?

  1. We don’t have the advantage of having that case in front of us so maybe that’s why your fix sounds confusing, particularly this:

“. . .but what i did is that i removed the CPUs incredibly loud motor fan and this fan sounded alright to keep so i removed the CPUs fan completely and placed it on the CPU to keep it cool. So now it only has 2 fans.”

But again, maybe it’d make sense if I had the case to look at.

The ‘attached pipe thing’ over the cpu is usually there to funnel the cpu heat out of the back of the case. If that’s what the ‘pipe thing’ is for then it shouldn’t be blocking anything unless someone has messed around with it and reinstalled it incorrectly.

But if the temps stay low and the noise is gone then I guess that’s all that matters.
