    1. Generally, yes it can. I have a mobile phones and a Sat Nav that are both re-charged through the USB cable plugged into a the computer.

      There is a international agreement being discussed where all hand held device will have a USB connection for charging purposes even though the device may not have any other USB capabilities. It avoids the plethora of different charging adapters with different voltages, different polarities and different sizes that invulnerably end up in the rubbish bin. With USB all you need is a cable that can be reused.

      So if the phone has a USB connection, it will most probably charge the phone. All you can do is plug it in and try it. It wont do any harm if it wont.

    2. The Nokia 6300 uses the mini-USB cable. The cable can’t charge the nokia 6300 because the phone doesn’t have USB charging feature, but it can charge other phones that have USB charging feature .
