Ms-7050 Motherboard Jumpers

  • 0

I’m looking for the pinout for the FRONT PANEL connector from an HP vintage MS-7050 mainboard (originally out of a DX-5150) apparently the pinout of power, reset, HDDLED, etc is a closely guarded secret (since none of the manuals appears to address it) – all they do is refer you to a part order to get a special connector. I’ve got to believe somebody has mapped the pinout already. HELP!

  1. I found this:

    http://www.fixya.com/support/t40354…

but the link to the HP site doesn’t go there. Maybe you can find it if you spend more time looking than I did. There’s this ebay lot:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/LAPTOP-SCHEMATI…

that lists that motherboard. But it says they’re all laptop schematics. Maybe there’s a ms 7050 in a laptop or maybe the lot includes desktop motherboards as well. You may want to contact the seller. I guess there’s no guarantee either that the pin assignments will be specified.

Most OEM motherboards are based on a manufacturer supported board. If you can find that one, the pin assignments should be the same. You can scroll down to the socket 939 boards in the MSI archive page:

    http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=p…

download the specs and see if they match your 7050.
