Mouse Doesn’t Work On Windows 1.01

Hai! I have an old laptop with 80286 cpu, 640 kilobyte ram and 1,44 mb floppy (not have harddrive). Problem is: i have a floppy: ms-dos 3.3 with windows 1.01, and i have a serial mouse. but the mouse doesn’t work.
Question is: How to i use the mouse with windows 1.01?

    1. You can’t use an external mouse with Windows 1.01 unless you have a DOS driver for it from the mouse manufacturer.

    3. I think you may have problems trying to run windows without a hard disk, it is best used with a hard disk.

      Phil’s advice above is good.

      Early versions of Windows run under dos. Therefore you should first make sure the mouse runs ok under dos, before testing it with windows.

      Please advise back on progress.
