Solved HP OfficeJet 8600 Pro Will Not Power On

Our reliable HP OfficeJet 8600 Pro Aii-in-One will suddenly not power on. I’ve addressed all the usual suspects:
– Unplugged power cord, waited 1 minute, replugged
– verified that power cord was properly connected at printer end
– Relocated unit to a different electrical outlet

Nothing I tried would bring the unit back to life. On other curiousity: I believe the power-on button doesn’t “feel right”.

Has anyone had the same experience? If yes, what is the fix?

    1. If the power button doesn’t feel right then the button itself is probably faulty needing replacement.
