      I wouldn’t worry about the EPROM in the machine. Unless you yourself have done something, it is in the same condition as the day it was made. EPROMs dont just change their contents for no good reason.

      Normally to force an alignment you turn the machine on with one or more buttons pressed. Check you manual to see which button(s) this applies to and then check they are not stuck in the pressed position.
