How To Fix Touch Pad On Packard Bell Laptop

Fix touch pad on Packard bell laptop when I try to move the mouse using touch pad it doesn’t move in the right direction but jolts in the wrong direction then carries on moving and clicking on its own any ideas

      Some laptops have a separate button ( very small ) to turn the touch pad off/on.

      Also F9 or FN + F9 can do the same, maybe it was one of these.
